The IS ( Intercooler system )

The cooling system used on IS series generators is based on double cooling system.
Heat exchangers type sea water/air and sea water/coolant able to assure the perfect functioning of the generator independently from the external ambient temperatures.

Soundproof cabin

The structure is composed by a steel mainframe and painted panels of aluminum 5754 type, that has a very high resistance to external agents.

Thanks to this structure, soundproof cabin has a limited weight and an easy accessibility in case of maintenance services, also if installed in narrow places.

Cooling system

The cooling of the engine is based on a closed inner flow of coolant. The system is based on a cupronickel heat exchanger seawater/coolant type, where the thermal exchange occurs between coolant and seawater. Two separate pumps contribute to the flow of the coolant and the sea water.
