PV-input revision check: The kit-linked NOVA 6500S sheet lists a 90–230V MPPT range and 250V maximum open-circuit voltage. The standalone product page lists a different revision at 90–450V / 550V. Your installer must confirm the supplied inverter nameplate and manual before choosing solar strings; do not assume the higher limit.

Power planning and installation

Two 100A batteries provide about 10,240W DC at nominal voltage before inverter losses. Battery-only continuous AC output is therefore below the 13,000W inverter total. Additional compatible battery capacity and proper design are needed to approach full inverter power.

Have a qualified installer check cold-weather panel open-circuit voltage, MPPT startup voltage, input current, battery settings, cable ampacity, fusing, grounding, and mounting. House circuits require approved transfer or isolation equipment. Keep indoor-rated electronics protected, and never backfeed an outlet.

Solar production depends on location, season, shade, panel angle, and system losses. Panel wattage is a laboratory rating; it is not a guaranteed charging rate. Loads running during charging reduce the energy stored.

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t two batteries deliver all 13000W continuously?

Their combined continuous battery rating is approximately 10240W DC before conversion losses. The inverter pair’s nameplate does not increase the batteries’ discharge capability.

Does 2500W mean the kit only powers 2500W of appliances?

No. It is the rated solar-array capacity. AC output, battery discharge power, and stored energy have separate limits.

How do I estimate runtime?

Plan around 10,240Wh of nominal storage and the actual average load on both 120V legs. Simultaneous large loads use that energy quickly and may also exceed the supplied bank’s continuous discharge limit.

Is installation included?

No. The two-inverter 120/240V configuration requires correct wiring, phase settings, grounding, and overcurrent protection. Have your installer verify that the planned battery bank can supply your loads.

What warranty applies?

Manufacturer warranties apply by component, including 10 years for the ALPHA 5 PRO batteries and 3 years for the hybrid inverters. The panels carry 25-year output coverage. Review the applicable exclusions and installation requirements.
